According to a Fevad study (Fédération du e-commerce et de la vente à distance), total internet sales in France crossed the historic milestone of 100 billion euros in 2020 (amounted 112 billion euros for sales of services and products). In ten years, sales of products and services on the internet have increased fourfold, notably thanks to more secure means of payment and the development of mobility. France is still in the top three for European e-commerce, behind the United Kingdom and ahead of Germany. But for the big leaders of e-commerce, well-established in the market (Amazon, Cdiscount, Veepee, Fnac, Booking…), as well as for the smallest players, the playing field is now international, and ambitions are high for the years to come.
Skills linked to e-commerce are therefore more in demand than ever before.
