The compensation levels for these positions vary significantly between end customers and IT consulting firms (with higher salaries in IT consulting firms). The deployment of agile methodologies within companies undergoing digital transformation has modified the composition of this position and the skills expected. These roles are more and more frequently occupied by freelancers working with long-term contracts (they are often not looking for permanent contracts), which somewhat blurs the trends in salary.
