The mission of the data storyteller is to translate data analytics (often raw and complex data) into more intuitive, visual, or generally more impactful language for business recipients, whether internal or external, to facilitate decision-making. This position is mainly found in large companies facing communication challenges when transforming to a data-driven business model. This role ultimately remained fairly unknown after a first appearing five years ago. Salary has therefore been stable, but the challenge of the position to cope with increasing amounts of data means a surge in salary within the coming years.
